The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced backend engineer with 5-7 years of experience, ideally with a strong background in heavy data workflows or gaming industry experience. You must be EU-based, proficient in backend technologies, and ready to join a fast-paced remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices.

• Experience architecting distributed systems capable of handling high concurrency and real-time traffic.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-grade code.

• Experience owning end-to-end feature development from design to deployment.

• Ability to optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless releases.

• Participation in code reviews and architectural discussions.

• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis.

Highly Desired Knowledge and Experience:

• 5–7 years of backend engineering experience in high-scale systems.

• Strong proficiency in Java, Go, Node.js, or Python.

• Strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Experience with distributed systems and high-concurrency environments.

• Solid understanding of caching, queues, and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

• Preferred: Experience in real-money gaming or high-traffic consumer platforms.

• Preferred: Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

• Preferred: Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows.

• Preferred: Exposure to system observability and monitoring tools.
