The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Poker Room Specialist to focus on performance analysis, player behavior, and ecosystem strategy. This role will work closely with the Poker Room Manager to support the planning and optimisation of our poker room, covering both cash games and tournaments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse player behaviour, liquidity, and game performance across cash games and tournaments.
• Assist with player segmentation and help develop tools to monitor key metrics.
• Contribute insights and recommendations for promotions, rake structure, and ecosystem health.
• Support the planning, tracking, and post-event evaluation of poker room promotions.
• Help build and maintain internal dashboards and reporting tools.
• Monitor player feedback trends and identify key issues affecting room performance.
• Collaborate with the Poker Room Manager on forecasting and strategic planning.
• Use prompt engineering and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance reporting and analysis.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in any discipline.
• Knowledge of poker formats, strategy, and player behaviour.
• Experience using spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) for analysis and organisation.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Clear written communication, especially for documenting findings and feedback.
• Comfortable working independently and managing structured tasks.
• Interest in the intersection of poker, data, and product development.
• Willingness to learn internal tools, AI workflows, and contribute to team improvements. 

Nice to have

• Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools in a work or project context.
• Exposure to poker ecosystem concepts like rake, liquidity, or player segmentation.
• Experience with competitor research or data reporting.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools.
• Interest in working in crypto, gaming, or online product teams.
